“Baldur’s Gate 3” defeated “Cocoon”, “Dredge”, “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” and “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” to win the Game Developers Choice Award for Game of the Year. The award was presented during this year’s Game Developers Conference (GDC) in front of an audience of developers, industry professionals and media.

“Baldur’s Gate 3” also won the Best Design Award, Best Narrative Award, and Audience Award.
Previous GDC Game of the Year winners include Elden Ring, Hades, God of War and Overwatch. Winners are chosen from a select group of video game creators and developers, making it a highly sought-after award among nominees.
