Google Keep is one of the best Android apps you can install on your phone. This is a somewhat underrated note-taking app that gets the basics right and doesn’t get in your way. Google keeps things simple with Google Keep for the most part, so we don’t see a lot of new features or overhauls very often. However, Google seems to think it’s time to make some changes, as the company is testing a new bottom toolbar in Google Keep.

The new toolbar looks very similar to the floating toolbar in the Google Chat app. On Keep, it includes three buttons: Take New Note, Create New List, and Draw. The voice button and image button are missing from the old toolbar.
One of the advantages of this change is that the new toolbar takes up less space and displays more content in landscape mode. The plus button also has a nice animation.
This new bottom bar is not yet rolled out to users. However, root users can enable it by toggling the feature flag on Google Keep v5.24.102.
