Get into your Dragon’s Dogma 2 After beating the level, you will create your chess piece in the character creator. This is your partner in crime who will accompany you throughout the game and level up with you, but they aren’t your only companions. You’ll eventually form a team of four with the other pieces you meet along the way. These can be made by Capcom, or by other players (assuming you’re playing online). You can recruit them by talking to them in the game world or by visiting the Cracked Stones found in different villages and towns.
While your starting piece will level up with you, any other pieces you pick up will remain at the same level. This incentivizes you to cycle through them as you progress, but they cost RC, which is a different currency than what you spend in the store. Before you leave your first town, be sure to recruit a full team to help you fight. If you can, make sure your team has all four starting combat roles (Warrior, Archer, Rogue, Mage) so you can spread skills among yourself.
