The Samsung Galaxy A55 recently received the March 2024 Android security patch in India with firmware version A556EXXS1AXC1, which also brings seamless update capabilities to the smartphone. Therefore, users will see two messages while downloading the update – “Download and Install” and “Verification”.

The seamless update feature allows you to install updates on Partition B while using your phone in Partition A and reboot the phone after the installation is complete. This makes the device available during installation and only unavailable upon reboot, which on the Galaxy A55 can take up to 90 seconds, meaning you no longer have to wait several minutes for the entire installation process to complete before you can use it. cell phone.

It’s unclear which Samsung smartphone will get the seamless update feature next, but older models are unlikely to support it as the device needs to be configured for the feature before shipping.
