Nestle USA is More than 440,000 Starbucks brand mugs recalled The Consumer Product Safety Commission said this after customers reported burns and cuts after using the metal products.
The agency said Thursday that if the cups are microwaved or filled with extremely hot liquids, they could overheat or break, potentially causing burns or cuts.
The recall includes four metal-coated ceramic mug gift sets, Bare Starbucks logoThe agency said the coffee machine was sold during the 2023 holiday season.
“There have been 12 incidents of cups overheating or breaking, resulting in 10 injuries,” the CPSC said. Nine of those injuries included severe burns and/or blisters on customers’ fingers or hands.
The agency said one person “required medical attention” during one incident.
Is there any way to remedy this?
Refund.
But first, the CPSC says consumers should stop using the recalled cups immediately. The agency also recommends returning the product or contacting Nestlé USA for a full cash or gift card refund.
