The Motorola Edge 50 Pro hasn’t debuted yet, but a landing page on Flipkart India has revealed some key details, including the design and an April 3 launch date. Most of what’s listed on the landing page is already known, but this is official confirmation, so we’ll go with it.
The device will run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and the display will be a 6.7-inch OLED panel with slightly curved sides and support for refresh rates up to 144Hz. The screen also supports HDR10+ content and peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits.
The camera system is an interesting one. In addition to the 50MP main camera, the Edge 50 Pro also comes with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with AF, so it can also take close-up macro photos. This telephoto camera is claimed to have OIS and 30x hybrid zoom, but there is no mention of what the native optical zoom is.
One of the more interesting aspects of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is the selfie camera. It is a 50MP unit with f/1.9 wide aperture and autofocus. This is a rare find even among modern flagship phones.
Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes in vegan leather and pearl finish
The device will run Android 14 out of the box along with so-called Hello UI and come with a 3-year OS upgrade guarantee and generative AI themes.
Other notable features include a vegan leather body or pearl-like finish, a metal frame, IP68 water and dust resistance certification, and 125W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
