Fans of classic point-and-click adventure games will love Old Man’s Journey. You’ll need to help the titular old man navigate the various landscapes by manipulating the environment with simple touch controls, somewhat similar to how Monument Valley works.

Much of the game involves moving hills and animals to get the player from one side of the screen to the other, but it also slows down when you’re looking for something in the background to trigger a memory. This will fill in some of the old man’s life and help you understand who he is and what his journey is about, all without a single line of text or spoken dialogue.

I couldn’t resist adding another puzzle game to the list. There’s so much good stuff out there, I don’t think you can blame me, and Flow Free is very different from the others. As with the best dots, the idea is simple: you just need to connect all the dots of the same color together with an unbroken path. Of course, the tricky part is working on each color at the same time.

You get a feel for the puzzles through the early levels and then into the more difficult stages, which are larger and have more colors to connect into incredibly difficult modes. These may bother you for a while, but when you finally crack the code, it will give you a huge sense of accomplishment.

Answer the call of duty

You can’t fix Call of Duty issues offline, but you can still experience the adrenaline rush of Brothers in Arms 3. It’s the third entry in the long-running shooter series, but you don’t need to have played any of the previous games. You will be transported into World War II and take part in some of the most iconic battles of the war.

This is a third-person shooting game, which is different from first-person shooting games, but it has rich scenes and intense gunplay like other games. The campaign is quite long, with plenty of changes between each stage to keep the game fresh. You’ll grow attached to the various “brothers” you meet and fight alongside in this epic adventure.

While it may not be as powerful and detailed as the latest games, it still has some unique features and a story worth checking out.

Set in the titular city of San Andreas, you’ll follow CJ as he battles various street gangs, the police, and pretty much everything else in his life that tries to draw him into the world of crime. You’re free to follow the storyline or create your own fun in the open world, which is your personal playground of mayhem and destruction.
