We’ve said it before, and we’ll probably say it again, when you’re looking for a new way to protect your phone, it’s easy to recommend first-party cases. After all, no other phone case brand has had more time to design a case for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra than Samsung itself. Here we explore Samsung Stand Grip cases for the Galaxy S24 series.
Currently, we have cases for the top-tier Galaxy S24 Ultra, but the same design also applies to the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus. The stand-up silicone case is an evolution of Samsung’s standard silicone case, a flexible and easy-to-use material with recycled materials used throughout. Specifically, the Standing Grip case contains at least 22% post-consumer recycled materials, which is a great start if nothing else.

The case feels smooth to the touch, but the silicone material provides enough grip to keep it from slipping out of your hand. Even though you do feel like it’s going to fall out of your hand, the main difference from a basic silicone case is in the name: Standing Grip.
It’s a strap built into the back of the case, opposite the camera cutout. It has a big S logo printed on it, in case you forget what series your phone is. There’s a pop of color behind the case to contrast with the version you choose. Initially, figuring out how to pull the strap off can be a little tricky, but after some practice, it becomes very simple.

As the name suggests, silicone straps serve a dual purpose. It provides extra grip for your phone and can also be expanded into a stand. My experience with the grip itself so far has been very good. I was worried that it would start to loosen over time so it might stick out more from the back of the case, but so far that’s not the case.

If you’re worried about the durability of the stand, it cleverly uses the weight of your phone as a countermeasure. While the silicone band tends to retract into the device, your phone pushes it out to keep it in place.
I really like how Samsung color-matches all of its options to what you can choose for the Galaxy S24 series. We have dark purple and taupe versions of the case, but there’s also a light blue version if you prefer.

Samsung’s stand and grip cases for the three Galaxy S24 models all cost $59, which puts them in the mid-range of high-end cases. It’s not the most affordable option, but if you’re looking for a band and stand with silicone protection and added versatility, Samsung’s Stand and Grip Cover might be a good choice.
