The iPhone 16 Pro could indeed feature a new capture button. Granted, the leaked case (which clearly wasn’t made by Apple) isn’t the best evidence, but the source has a reasonable record of Apple’s behavior – Sonny Dixon.
There’s a clear cutout on the right side of the case, just below the power button. Interestingly, the power button has a rubber cover, while the expected shooting button has a cutout – this could be because of the case design, or possibly something to do with the buttons themselves, if we were to guess.

Earlier this month, news broke that Apple was working on adding a capture button to the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro.
It joins the left-mounted action button as a new control for the iPhone, a very un-Apple move. It’s expected to mimic the soft shutter button on a typical camera. A half-press will focus, while a full press will take a photo (or series of photos). Sony phones had shutter buttons not too long ago, but they were thinner and not as good.
