- iQOO is reportedly already working on a successor to the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, although the latter was only recently launched.
- The upcoming smartphone is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, similar to the one used in the flagship iQOO 12.
- While the company has yet to confirm its plans for the new Neo series of phones, leaked details include display specifications, camera features, and fast charging capabilities.
The iQOO Neo 9 Pro was announced just last month, but a new leak suggests the company is already working on the next-gen model with some crazy specs.
It looks like iQOO may be preparing a new smartphone to follow up the iQOO Neo 9 Pro which hit the shelves earlier this year. The news comes from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, and although they didn’t reveal the exact model, savvy commentators theorized that it’s likely to be an iQOO phone that could join the Neo 10 series (via GSMArena ).
According to leaked information, the upcoming smartphone may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the same processor used in the flagship iQOO 12 and many of the best Android phones.
While the company has yet to confirm plans for any new Neo series phones, other interesting details about the rumored smartphone have surfaced online, such as display specifications, camera details, and even hints about its fast charging capabilities.
According to DCS, the screen will use a 1.5K LTPO OLED flat panel display with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz.
DCS also claims there will be two cameras on board. One of them is rumored to be a 50MP with a rather large sensor. In addition, it is expected to achieve 120W ultra-fast charging and be paired with a “big battery” to provide all-day power. The phone may also feature an X-axis motor to provide impressive haptic effects.
Despite coming with some very top-end specs, rumors suggest the phone’s frame may be plastic – definitely an odd choice. The back, on the other hand, is said to be available in either glass or faux leather, depending on your color preference.
As of now, the Vivo sub-brand is mum on its next big launch, especially since the Neo 9 Pro was announced just last month. But some are speculating that the new phone could be positioned as a “flagship killer,” as the choice of plastic frame suggests they’re aiming to keep costs down.
