Cheech and Chong will join Call of Duty Warzone Season 3

Cheech and Chong, the comedy duo best known for their albums and movies in the 1970s and 1980s, will be added to call of Duty as part of the upcoming third season.

Tommy Chong and Cheech Marin are the iconic stoner duo who don’t look like the kind of guys who would pick up an M4 and shoot them. The duo created films and comedies that focused on hippies, free love, drugs and counterculture ideas. But Activision is demanding more from them, and the publisher confirmed in a new blog post that the pair will be heading to Call of Duty Warzone, Warzone Mobile, and modern warfare 3 sometime next month.

While we don’t officially know when the pair will be available in call of Duty‘s various multiplayer products, other weed-inspired cosmetics, and the “Blaze It Up” campaign all seem to indicate that Cheech and Chong will arrive around April 20th.

Here’s how Activision (a very large and not at all hippie company) describes the two products and the new cosmetics pack In a lengthy blog post:

Tommy Chung and Kiki Marin grew up amid the counterculture revolution but possessed the drive and creativity to turn cultural friction into comedic success. Facing systemic barriers to humor and cannabis, the duo used adversity to bring underground sounds into the mainstream. Chong’s intelligence and Marin’s heritage made them famous, while their comedic chemistry made them icons. Their albums and films exposed injustice with subversive glee, pioneered stoner comedy and became symbols of irreverent truth.

I know some people will get a kick out of it and giggle at all the weed content without overthinking it, and that’s fine. But as I watch all of pop culture and entertainment slowly consume itself and we get closer to a future where everything is one, I get sadder and sadder Big gray spots have Warner Bros., Disney, Fox, Universal, Monsanto, Sony, Tencent, Apple, Microsoft.

Sure, I can watch Ariana Grande fight Goku and Michael Myers in the movie, which is silly. fortnite.but looking at everything art chopped to pieces And being thrown into the never-ending maw of a virtual world makes me really sad, man. I miss those unique and unique things.

“C” Season 3All Mission Warzone, Warzone Mobile, and modern warfare 3 Rolling out on all platforms starting April 3rd.
