Everything is better when there are no ads to ruin the atmosphere and your perfect playlist deserves to be played non-stop. Don’t believe us? As of December 2023, Spotify has more than 230 million Premium subscribers, enjoying ad-free songs, podcasts, and audiobooks. Here’s a closer look at each platform’s premium plans.
What can I get free Spotify account?
You can access Spotify’s music library, but you have to listen to ads, and you can’t download music to your phone when you don’t have Wi-Fi access (such as on a plane).
What can I get Spotify Premium Plan?
If you want an ad-free offline listening experience, Premium is your best choice. You’ll have ad-free access to Spotify’s entire music library and the ability to download music and podcasts to your device. Additionally, you have the option to improve audio quality, play songs in any order, and create listening queues, options that aren’t available in Spotify’s free tier.

What are the options for Spotify’s Premium plan?
-
Premium Personal Edition (free for two months, then $10.99 per month): This plan is suitable for one person and includes all premium features.
-
Premium students (one month free, then $5.99 per month): Students at accredited higher education institutions receive 50% off all premium features for up to 4 years (a student value of $1.99 per month), in addition to free access to Hulu’s ad-supported plans.
-
Premium Duo ($14.99/month): Both people can get their own premium account with Premium Duo. Spotify stipulates that the two people must live together, but since they have no way of knowing this, you can split the plan with a friend or sibling. You also get 15 hours of audiobook listening time per month.
-
Premium Family ($16.99/month): This plan offers discounted rates for families of up to six people, with each member having their own account. One family member (the “Plan Administrator”) is responsible for paying for the plan, managing members, and can set explicit content filters for members.
This plan is great for parents who want to make sure their kids don’t listen to explicit content, or who want to give their kids their own account in the Spotify Kids app. On the Premium Family plan, only plan managers get 15 hours of audiobook listening time per month.
