Beware, Overwatch 2 and Marvel Rivals could steal your audience

Marvel and NetEase just released the first trailer for Marvel Rivals, a game that’s obviously just an Overwatch game but with all your favorite comic book characters. Much like how Overwatch has operated in the past, Marvel Rivals is a team-based 6v6 shooter described as having “thrilling, fast-paced, cooperative gameplay” with a “deep” roster – including Spider-Man Classic game characters such as Man of Steel and Iron Man, the Hulk, as well as new characters such as Penny Parker and Majik.

The biggest difference from Overwatch seems to be the ability to work as a team. Take Rocket Raccoon and Groot, for example: They have a unique team-up, with Rocket jumping on Groot’s back to wreak havoc together. Of course, each character has a variety of unique abilities, as well as some more explosive ultimates.

Game director Thaddeus Sasser told Polygon: “Being able to play as your favorite hero in multiplayer is very attractive to me, and I think that attracts a lot of players. Think about some famous heroes. .” Characters from Marvel Comics – a complete list of things you can start to imagine happening in the game. Also, having magical superpowers in multiplayer isn’t really done yet. It’s still something relatively new, and the way we’re doing it, and some of the tricks we’ve picked up, should be very exciting for new players. ”

The story will also apparently revolve around “the ruthless conflict between the tyrannical dictator Doctor Doom and his future counterpart in the year 2099,” and from the looks of the trailer, Galactus’ daughter Galacta also appears to be involved in some way in.
