Did you know that Netflix has five seasons of the animated Jurassic World series? No? Well, if you are a big fan of dinosaurs, you should check it out. At least until the end of its third season, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is pretty sweet and more mature than you might think. Now, Chaos Theory is aiming to be a darker follow-up.
Entertainment Weekly reports all the new details about DreamWorks Animation’s sequel series, which will premiere on Netflix on May 24 with 10 episodes. Plus, the streaming service finally released a proper trailer that better sets the tone and main premise.

Camp Cretaceous executive producer and showrunner Scott Kreamer explains why he jumped at the chance to direct a sequel series after wrapping up the lengthy run on the previous series. “I wanted to tell a more complex story with older kids that was closer in tone to the end of the Harry Potter films than the beginning of the Harry Potter films… and it just kept going from there. , luckily people jumped on board,” he explains.
While we haven’t yet seen how “complicated” the story can get, it’s still a show primarily made for a younger audience after all, and I personally wouldn’t question Creamer and his team’s wishes, as Camp Cretaceous often does Grow More Important and More Even though it seems innocent enough, it’s more threatening than anyone expected. It also develops the main characters in a more interesting way than the three Jurassic World movies, and I hope I’m exaggerating a little.
Of course, for Darius, Ben, and the other kids in the original show, time (about six years) has passed, and now dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals are part of the world’s ecosystem and yet another in the capitalist machine gear. “The great thing about Dominion is that it tells a big story about what dinosaurs were like in the world,” Creamer said. It sounds like the creative team was interested in further exploring the new status quo introduced in late 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which Dominion (2022) ultimately didn’t do much to change. If you’re curious about what’s next for the Nabra Six, the full interview with him and some of the cast is well worth a read.
In addition to this animated “conspiracy thriller” (which intrigues me), despite its target audience, Jurassic World will soon be back in theaters, with a sequel starring Rogue One: Planet A new film directed by Gareth Edwards. If talks don’t pan out, it could be led by Scarlett Johansson. Additionally, Saber is launching a new Jurassic Park video game (with a survival horror vibe). This franchise is far from dead.
