Philips Hue and Samsung SmartThings are expanding their collaboration to enhance interactions between the Philips Hue Sync TV app, Samsung TVs and the SmartThings ecosystem.This cooperation aims to provide users with A more immersive entertainment experience pass Synchronized lighting.
Starting in spring 2024, the Philips Hue Sync TV app will be available with a monthly subscription plan on top of the existing one-time purchase option.The subscription price is $2.99 per month, will allow users to unlock the app on up to three Samsung TVs within the same household. In addition, the Sync TV app will be expanded to Brazil, Hong Kong, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Integration with the SmartThings mobile app will make it easier for users to control the Sync TV app and its lighting settings. Through the SmartThings app, users can adjust settings, select different modes, and start or stop syncing without interrupting their TV viewing experience. Advanced automation will allow users to create personalized entertainment routines at the touch of a button.

Philips Hue Sync TV app will introduce a new feature called Music Mode, allowing compatible 2024 Samsung TVs Synchronize lights with any audio content playing on your TV. This feature will transform the living room into a concert hall, enhancing the audio-visual experience.

The Philips Hue Sync TV app is compatible with Samsung Q60 series or later QLED TVs produced from 2022 onwards. Integration with the SmartThings app and rollout of monthly subscriptions will begin in Spring 2024, along with the launch of Music Mode for compatible 2024 Samsung TVs. Compatibility with 2022 and 2023 Samsung TVs will be available later this year.
