If there’s one South Indian delicacy that puts us in an instant mood, it’s challah. It’s crispy on the outside and filled with delicious ingredients that melt in your mouth with the first bite. There is no doubt that this snack is irresistible. While butter, rava and masala dosas are the most popular, have you heard of dry fruit dosas? If this name has you scratching your head, you’re not alone. Recently, a food blogger named Sukrit Jain shared a video on Instagram of a street vendor preparing dry fruit dosa generously sprinkled with cheese. “This dry fruit and cheese filled masala dosa is a must try,” he wrote in the caption.

The video starts with a street vendor pouring the dosa batter onto the tawa and spreading it evenly in a small container. Next, add a generous amount of coconut chutney and another red condiment, then add a big spoonful of mashed potatoes. After mixing the chutney into the batter in a circular motion, the chef sprinkles in cheese. Can you guess what ingredient will come next? Dried fruits such as almonds, raisins and cashews. After all the nuts have been added, the man rolls the mixture into a pancake. The golden brown crispy dish is then served to customers on a plate with sambar and coconut chutney. Take a look:
