Despite being skipped from the 2023 Edge series, Motorola will reportedly relaunch the “Ultra” smartphone in April to complete its three-phone lineup.
According to reports, Motorola is expected to launch the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, and Edge 50 Pro. Android headlines.
What’s unique about the Edge 50 Ultra?
The Edge 50 Ultra is said to be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and feature three cameras on the back using a 50-megapixel sensor and a 75mm periscope lens that can achieve 5x optical zoom.
Interestingly, going against the recent trend of flagship phones adopting flat displays, the report adds that the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will use a curved screen with a punch-hole for the front camera.
The publication also adds that the Edge 50 Ultra will be available in three colors: Pantone Color of the Year 2024, Peach Fuzz, Black, and Brushed finish.
As the latest phones in the company’s lineup, all three phones are likely to run Motorola’s latest version of Hello UI based on Android 14 and come with three years of OS updates.
Judging by the dates on the device’s home screen in the leaked material, we’ll likely see Motorola’s new trio of smartphones on April 3, as previously rumored.
