North Dakota may be eligible for more than $4.5 million in federal Telecommunications and Information Administration funding.
Commerce Department officials announced yesterday that the funding for states will help cover the costs of “providing individuals and communities with the tools, skills and opportunities they need to benefit from high-speed Internet access.” North Dakota’s reported share of funds could total as much as $4,549,722.
Officials said the funding will be used to help states adopt high-speed internet connections and develop the digital skills necessary to enable residents to fully participate in society and the digital economy.
