It seems like Palworld could be less original; pocket pair Trailer released for a dating sim game Pokemon Games with guns.
Frankly, Palworld is one of the most unoriginal games ever made. We all know this! There’s nothing unique about it, including its somewhat paler design. So it’s no surprise that, ahead of April Fools’ Day, Pocketpair released a trailer showing off a fake Palworld dating sim where you can date some of your friends from the game. At first glance it does look like a real game, with all the character art and fancy AI, but it’s just a joke and a bit over the top. Maybe if you’re 14 and have never seen a dating sim other than Doki Doki Literary Club or Hatoful Boyfriend you’ll find it interesting, but I don’t think teenagers are the pinnacle of taste makers.

What’s true is that an update is on the way, but it’s unclear if said update will include jokes about an entire genre of the game that don’t actually just revolve around dating to annoy you. In fact, there’s no indication of what this update might contain, or when it might be released, other than “soon,” so you’ll just have to wait for it.

A few weeks ago, Pocketpair did reveal the first Raid Battle that would be coming to the game, featuring the ostensibly gothic Gardevoir, in an update that’s also due out soon, so presumably this is for the same update part. Basically, it sounds like whenever this update releases, it’s going to be filled with absolutely original and unique content that you’ve definitely not seen anywhere else before.
