New ‘Marvel Snap’ Season Brings Justice Like Lightning and Thunder – TouchArcade

As the Avengers and X-Men put down their shields, hammers and claws for a new season Marvel Snapshot (FREE) It’s dawn. This time it’s not good guys fighting good guys, it’s bad guys pretending to be good guys. Or maybe a bad guy?I can’t remember what this team is, but it’s time for the Thunderbolts to arrive Marvel Snapshot! Which Thunder? Let’s dig deeper and find out all the details. I doubt we’ll see a Beetle or something, so don’t despair.

Well, as usual, Ben Brode (?) and friend (Bens?) made a very interesting video explaining things. You should watch it if you can, as it not only goes over everything but also gives you some ideas about which cards match up with the new ones. My words are meant to sum it up for those of you peeking in at work. I support you, friends. So let’s take a look at that season ticket card first, huh?

Naturally, it’s Baron Zemo. That has to be it, right? He is a 3 cost 5 power card with the “reveal” ability, which recruits the lowest cost card from your opponent’s deck to the side of your position. Well, this is beautiful. I now understand why the second dinner involved some modifications to the cards swiped from the opponent’s deck. Pair him with locations or cards that trigger his ability multiple times and you can really destroy your opponent’s team. The season ticket card isn’t bad at all, but the proof of the pudding will be, as usual, in the eating.

Okay, let’s take a look at the other new cards for this season. I don’t necessarily think Red Hulk is a Thunderbolt, but I know what kind of Thunderbolt they’re using here, and he does fit the bill. He is a 6 cost 11 power card, and if he is in your hand or on the field, he will gain +4 power whenever your opponent ends their turn with unspent energy. Oh wow. I’m sure this is going to be the beast card of the season. Wear those Shang-Chi cards up your sleeve, folks.

Next up is U.S. Agent. If you ask me, this is starting to look like a tie-in to some delayed movie. Regardless, he is a 2 cost 3 energy card, and his sustained ability provides 4, 5, and 6 cost cards -3 energy in his position. Presumably this is true for both you and your opponent, so plan carefully before using him. I think he’s like a less restrictive goose.

Next up is Red Guardian , which yes, has a very obvious connection to next year’s upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. So, what can you do? He’s a 3 cost 3 power card, and he has the “reveal” ability, which gives -2 power to the lowest power enemy card in his position and strips it of its text. interesting. I can see some potential here, but he’ll be a difficult one to strategize with. Iron Man should at least be careful.

Phew, a long month. The next new card is White Widow, who is of course the sister of Black Widow from the movie. She is a 2 cost 2 power card that follows in her sister’s footsteps and sends a Widow’s Kiss to the opponent’s side of her position. What does the Widow’s Kiss do? Well, it’s a 0 cost 0 energy card with the ability to last -4 energy until the slot is full. Oh, that would be painful.

Valentina is the last of the new cards. She is the person Elaine plays in the movie. She’s kind of like Team Nick Fury in the Marvel Universe, and her setup seems to be very Nick Fury-like. She is a 2-cost, 3-power card whose “reveal” ability randomly adds a 6-cost card to your hand. good news? The cost is -2. bad news? It is -3 power. Still, it’s a pretty cool ability.

We also have two new locations this season. Zemo’s Castle does something very Zemo-like: the first card you play there will change sides. Then we have the Thunder Tower, which acts as the dark counterpart to the Stark Tower and will provide -2 power to all cards in that position after turn five. There are a lot of debuffs throughout the season and I’m interested in this approach.

This is what the new season is about Marvel Snapshot. What do you think of all this? Want to add these cards to your deck? As usual, we’ll let things settle for a few days before providing a new deckbuilding guide.Feel free to comment below with your thoughts on this or anything Marvel Snapshot!
