As another Malevelon Creek campaign begins, Helldivers 2’s latest patch brings some major balance tweaks, adding blizzards and sandstorms

Life in Helldivers 2 truly never stands still. After some crazy Easter major orders, the community is now facing the latest in a seemingly never-ending string of battles at Malevelon Creek, though a new patch should add something new to the galactic warfare mix surprise.

Late last week, shortly after Arrowhead banned players from having snowball fights, some new guns were added to the game’s arsenal (it’s still a work in progress, as you’ll find out if you read on), and people have been working on a few new major orders. Considering how hard they worked, this patch’s bug fixes and additions are likely to be great news for the soldiers of Super Earth.

If you look at the notes for patch 01.000.200, a set of new additions might jump right off the page. Yes, there are two new planetary hazards to add to your list of scary things to avoid: blizzards and sandstorms. Probably endless jokes about Darude and Diablo 4.

In addition to this, a series of balance adjustments have been made to missions involving retrieving important personnel and destroying command bunkers as targets. The former moves enemy spawn points “further away from the objective to give players a fairer chance of defending the location,” while the latter adds “more objective locations” to make it more difficult.

At the same time, a large number of weapons – from arc throwers to slammers – have been buffed or nerfed, and these changes are accompanied by some similar balance adjustments to the damage dealt by enemies such as lightning bolts and screamers in certain scenarios. . Hopefully this revamp of the status quo won’t be as controversial as it once was, and comes with a change that will see the Patriot’s exo-rockets only penetrate armor on a direct hit, as well as enhancements to the heavier Helldiver armor .

While there are also a number of common bug fixes, crashing when throwing snowballs is unfortunately still an issue for now, although Arrowhead reiterated in the patch notes that it’s still working on fixing the issue.

So if you’re thinking of joining the over 30,000 players currently out there, keep this in mind Recapture of Malivron Creek for second time in about two daysbecause this war definitely doesn’t get a little chaotic at times.
