OpenAI’s DALL-E is getting a number of upgrades today to help you shape your AI-generated masterpieces. First, you can now find image editing tools when using DALL-E in ChatGPT, both on the web and on mobile devices. Second, DALL-E now offers preset style suggestions to help inspire image creation—unlike Android’s AI-generated wallpaper prompts. Because how else could you imagine a science fiction polar bear on vacation?
The DALL-E is already in its third generation, and recent updates seem aimed at making it even more user-friendly. DALL-E 3 adds integration with ChatGPT, which relieves users of the burden of writing perfectly descriptive image prompts – just tell ChatGPT what you want and it will do the rest. Today’s update is an extension that allows more casual DALL-E users to tweak and refine their results within the ChatGPT interface.
The new style prompts in the DALL-E 3 service appear to address a related but slightly different question for novice users: What the hell do I do with this thing?Sometimes the blank canvas is a bit small also Blank, you know? New prompts serve as a starting point and include styles such as woodcut, gothic, synthwave and hand-drawn, with examples displayed when you hover over them. Selecting an item will add it to your prompts. Then, the rest is up to you. So from a creative perspective, you’re not completely off the hook.
Recently, OpenAI has also put in some work to address a slightly more pressing issue related to AI image creation: trust. Earlier this year, DALL-E 3 began adding visible watermarks and metadata to represent AI-generated images. Sure, that’s a good start, but both can easily be removed by bad actors.this is not only It’s a problem that OpenAI needs to solve, but it’s an important one. I also wish the sci-fi polar bear a happy holiday.
