Motorola has launched the Edge 50 Pro at a massive launch event in India, turning a new page in its smartphone lineup. It’s Moto’s new premium mid-range offering, powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, a 1220p AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, and a powerful triple-camera setup.
The Edge 50 Pro is built around a 6.7-inch curved pOLED with a resolution of 1220p and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The panel features 2,000 nits peak brightness and is also the first smartphone to feature Pantone-verified colors, allowing for more accurate true colors and skin tones. The display also comes with a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The back features a 50MP main camera with f/1.4 aperture and OIS, along with a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens that also doubles as a macro camera. The Edge 50 Pro is the first Motorola smartphone to feature an AI photo enhancement engine optimized for motion capture and color segmentation.

The software uses Motorola’s new HelloUX interface based on Android 14, which brings the AI function for custom wallpapers. The Moto Ege 50 Pro will be the first phone to support Motorola Smart Connect, Moto’s new set of continuity features for Motorola and Lenovo smartphones, tablets and PCs that support external displays and data synchronization.

The Edge 50 Pro is equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery, supports 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, and has an IP68 protection rating.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes standard in black and lavender. There is also a limited edition moonlight pearl designed by Italian design company Mazzucchelli 1849.
Pricing starts at INR 31,999 (USD 383) for 8/256GB trim and rise to INR 35,999 (USD 431) for 12/256GB Version. Public sales in India will begin on April 9. The Moonlight Pearl Edition will be available on April 8 at 7 pm India time.
