April is only a few days away, and Samsung has released the April 2024 security patch on time. The latest update for Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 is now available.
If you live in Europe, Samsung has started rolling out this month’s patches for its 2023 foldable phones. The latest security patch is smaller, with firmware version F731BXXS1CXCK for the Flip 5 and F946BXXS1CXCH for the Fold 5. Judging by its size, the patch does nothing more than close a few dozen vulnerabilities.
If you live outside of Europe, you’ll receive an update soon. It should roll out to other regions in the coming days.
The update comes about a week after it was released on the Galaxy S24 and is currently available for download in the United States. However, the patch for the Galaxy S24 also brings some performance improvements.
To download the April 2024 security patch, all you need to do is go into Settings. After entering “Settings”, find “Software Update” and click the “Download and Install” button.
