Main points
- You should try using the Facebook Help Center to resolve various issues as it covers almost all of them.
- But you can also try using the direct contact form to message a Facebook representative with a specific issue.
- Business accounts can use the Business Manager page to email or chat for help.
Despite its ups and downs, controversies and successes, Facebook remains one of the most visited websites in the world. However, contacting its customer support is extremely difficult. Facebook doesn’t have a call center, so if you need help with your account, you can’t call Mark Zuckerberg directly.
My team of tech leads and I have been helping people navigate Facebook for years. For those whose accounts have been hacked, we provide ways to recover them. We’ve also clarified how to use (and disable) Facebook’s new link history feature, one of our many helpful articles about Facebook. So, we’re ready to crack the mystery of Facebook customer support. With the help of my Pocket-lint colleagues, I’ve simplified these steps into the three best ways to get the support you need.
How to check your Facebook web browser history – and turn it off
Here’s how to use Facebook’s new link history feature to view your in-app browser history. Also, if you think this is a spying tactic, how to disable it.
1 Send a message to a Facebook representative
via direct contact form
Unless you have a personal relationship with Facebook support, getting a response via email is nearly impossible. But many frequently asked questions have corresponding contact forms, which can be found in the Facebook Help Center. To help you save time, I’ve listed direct links to all available contact forms. If your specific question appears below, please feel free to click on the link and submit your question. Replies will be sent to the email address associated with your Facebook account.
Not all contact forms allow you to enter a message, but instead provide a list of options that you can check.
Access and account contact form issues:
Payment, Product and Title Contact Form:
Contact form for reporting issues and violations:
To report another user’s abusive content, profile, post, or message, you can tap/click the three dots (or down arrow) in the corner of the post and select “Report” or “Get support.”
How to edit a message in Facebook Messenger after sending it
Now you can fix those embarrassing typos on Facebook Messenger. Here’s how and what you need to know.
Via email and chat
This contact method is only available for business accounts with the Checkout service and is not accessible to any other type of account. If you do have such an account, you can find support on the Commerce Manager page via this link.
On your Business Manager page:
- Click on your account.
- Find the Education drop-down list and click Contact Support.
- Browse the categories to find one that matches your question.
- Write a message in the text box describing your problem.
- Select email or chat and send your message.
23 Facebook Messenger Tips and Tricks You’ve Probably Never Tried
These tips can help you take Messenger to the next level.
(this doesn’t always work)
1. Try contacting Facebook (now called X) on Twitter.
If you’ve tried everything else and still can’t get any support, there’s a chance the tech giant will see your tweet. Send your tweets to one of the Facebook Twitter handles: @FacebookApp, @Messenger and @Meta. There’s no guarantee they’ll get back to you, but it’s worth a try if you need help and are being ignored.
2. Try calling or emailing the discontinued Facebook support line.
Facebook used to offer phone support but has since discontinued the service. However, the phone numbers still appear to be owned by Facebook, so you can give them a try. These emails are still being used, but are not always responded to in a timely manner.
Here are the old customer service numbers:
- +1 650-308-7300
- +1 650-543-4800
Here is the email:
- support@fb.com
- press@fb.com
- appeal@fb.com
- abuse@fb.com
- datarequests@fb.com
Be careful of scams when connecting to such discontinued services. Facebook representatives may not ask for your password or other private information.
How to unfriend someone on Facebook (even if they are deactivated)
Whatever your reason, unfriending someone on Facebook is easy. That’s it.
FAQ
Q: Are there answers in the Facebook Help Center?
I’m going to address this first since it’s an official support resource from Facebook. Although the Facebook Help Center can’t connect you with real-life people, it covers almost every question you might have.
Here’s how to use it.
- Use this link to navigate to the Facebook Help Center. You can also copy and paste the URL into your browser: www.facebook.com/help/.
- Use the search bar to search for the appropriate support article.
- In the example below, I searched for “I can’t access Facebook Marketplace.”
- As you enter your query, suggestions pop up.
- Explain your question as clearly as possible using a minimum of keywords.
- Browse different support articles to find the one that solves your problem.
- If you are redirected to a contact form, please fill in the correct information.
You can also try the Meta Help Center, although it may direct you to the same resources as the Facebook Help Center.
