The spring movie season has begun, and one of the highlights from Universal Pictures is its upcoming movies Abigail. Although the film hasn’t been out for two weeks yet, it screened at the Overlook Film Festival on Saturday night. If you’re worried that this is going to be a flop or a bad thing, you obviously don’t need to be because people seem to think we’re about to have one damn good time later this month.

Early reactions have been pretty positive so far, with people who’ve seen the film calling it another great horror movie from the director radio silence. Not very impressed, but people were impressed by its mix of horror and laughter and what it said a lot of The entire film is filled with blood. It also sounds like a crowd-pleaser, with at least one critic saying each kill was met with a standing ovation from the crowd.

Glad to hear it Abigail’s Got the goods – the premise sounds very interesting and shows that Universal is really making it happen by doing no matter what it wants and its stable of universal monsters. Plus, any movie with ballet vampires running amok and dancing with headless corpses has to live up to the mind-bogglingly insane visuals at the end of the trailer.

Abigail Set to release on April 19th, we’ve rounded up some social media impressions below. We may have our own thoughts on the film closer to release, or ask you what you think.
