Warning: Major spoilers for Fallout 4 ahead
April is just around the corner and there’s a lot of Fallout stuff coming in the near future, but the first one to drop seems almost unexpected. It’s a new fan film called Fallout Deadweight that adds a fun extra scene at the end of Fallout 4’s main mission.
If you haven’t replayed it in a while, Fallout 4’s central adventure usually ends with either the Institute prospering or entering a new era with a lone survivor in charge. Whichever way you choose, things end pretty tragically for the son you spend most of the game tearing through the wasteland in search of, and as the story winds down, so does his end.

What happens after that, well, the ending movie. However, if you want a little extra closure on the family aspect of the plot, Fallout Deadweight is a new fan film, and although it’s out on April 1st, I’m pretty sure It’s not April Fools’ Day, it’s well worth watching. look.
This short but well-made mini-movie has clearly came together in three yearsAfter the story ends, the male version of the sole survivor, Nate, returns to Vault 111. Dogmeat is at his side, rocking a pretty cool Elder Maxson suit, and he has a pretty neat little battle with some attackers who get into the vault – there’s even a scream from William, which immediately sets the stage for The film earns some cool points.
Once you’ve eliminated these troublemakers using some typical Fallout weapons and some trusty barrels, the now-upgraded lone survivor enters the cryo chamber, where you start the game with your dead spouse (in this case No pull) stay there. The survivor, played by actor JP Valenti, opens the pod inside and gives a brief speech that hints at their pre-war lives.
He then revealed that he took Sean’s body back to the vault so that he could place it next to Nora in the pod, essentially burying two of his family members together rather than just leaving one of them in the study On the bed. He then returns to the Badlands to continue his adventure.
While the film may not sit well with how you choose to play the game, especially if you don’t side with the Institute in the main story, the symbolism of the ending it offers is quite touching, with Sean returning to his mother He was stolen from around him. Plus the film, directed by Nigel J. Kim and produced by a sizable crew, looks and sounds right for the character – even though it doesn’t have a production with Bethesda Or Amazon officially contacted it – and it’s definitely a nice little movie. What if you could adopt a canon for your head if you wanted to?
