Despite what you may have heard online, it’s unlikely we’ll end up seeing the Tobey Maguire-led, Sam Raimi-directed film spider man 4.
There were rumors that Raimi might return to direct the fourth film, with Maguire reprising his starring role, but in a recent interview with CBR , he made it clear that there are no such plans at the moment. “Well, I haven’t heard that,” Remy said when asked about the rumors. “I did read the article, but I haven’t really started looking into it yet. I mean, Marvel and Columbia have been very successful with the current Spider-Man [movies], and the track there, I had no idea they were going to come back to me and say, “Okay, guys, we can tell that story too!” I’m not sure, but I love all the new Spider-Man movies. Back then, Sony was actually planning to develop the fourth installment of Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy.
