This is what happened to a woman who rejected a man earning Rs 8 lakh a year. An X user shared a post explaining what happened. “An engineer friend of mine, earning 8LPA, working for only two years, and belonging to a wealthy Baniya family, was rejected for an arranged marriage by a girl who quit his job last year because she felt exhausted, but She’s not doing anything right now,” X’s post read.
“The reason for rejection is that boys have less packages and are a bit slimmer…Girls’ families want a boy who is going to marry their girl to have at least a 25LPA package…It’s impossible to blame the men every time.. ….You can make money when you are a girl, why should you be so dependent,” the post further said.
Several netizens reacted to the viral post. Many of them came out in support of the woman. “Girl is 100% right,” one social media user commented. “Now you know what it’s like to have dowry expectations,” another person commented. “It’s okay.
