If you want to restore your iPad to the way it was when you first got it, you can reset its settings to default without losing data.
like Restart iPad, a reset can also help when you run into problems. However, if it doesn’t solve the problem and you want to restore the original settings, you can always restore the previous settings from backup. That’s why it’s best to back up your iPad before resetting it.
How to reset your iPad
go Settings > General > Transfer or reset iPad > Reset. Be careful not to accidentally click “Delete all content and settings” as this will delete everything from your device. However, it will ask you to confirm.
Clicking “Reset” will give you several options: Reset all settings, reset network settings, reset keyboard dictionary, reset home screen layout, reset location and privacy.
As the name suggests, Reset all settings Will reset everything on your iPad to defaults. This includes network settings, keyboard dictionary, location settings, privacy settings, and Apple Pay card. But it won’t delete any data.
Reset network settings Only your network settings will be deleted. This will rename your iPad to “iPad” and the manually trusted website certificate will be changed to untrusted. It will also turn off cellular data.
When you reset your network settings, all network and VPN settings you previously used will be deleted. Your Wi-Fi will be turned off and back on, which means you are temporarily disconnected from the network you are connected to.
this Reset keyboard dictionary option will delete all words you added to iPad. Have you ever rejected keyboard suggestions while typing on your iPad? Each time you do this, a new word is added to the keyboard dictionary on your device. Resetting this setting will delete all these words.
Click Reset home screen layout will restore your home screen to its original state. All applications will be returned to their default locations.
at last, Reset location and privacy Any changes you have made to your device’s location services and privacy settings will be undone and restored to their default values.
