Its performance isn’t on par with RTX or Radeon, but if you’re on a budget, it’s a lifesaver! FPS Review tested the Ryzen 8700G and 8600G against the older Ryzen 5700G.
You won’t see Cyberpunk 2077 in all its glory, but hitting nearly 60 fps at 1080p at medium settings and with FSR enabled is impressive. It’s a shame that Starfield and some other modern games are still out of reach, but you do need to keep your expectations reasonable. If you’re considering a new budget system and want to play games on it, going with the Ryzen 8700G will give you a more flexible system than buying a gaming console, and your performance will be close.
