Google’s upcoming Pixel 8a has been leaked like crazy lately. Most recently, we released a spec sheet a few days ago and another shortly after. Google may have even given us a hint of the Pixel 8a in an ad for its US carriers last week.
Today, several new images of the phone have leaked, showing its back and front color options, which will no doubt be called Obsidian (because that’s what Google likes to call black now).

The rear photo is pretty much what you’d expect: a camera “visor” extending from one side of the frame to the other, housing the two sensors and a circular LED flash array, minimal G branding, and nothing more.
On the front, however, the screen’s bezels are really the star of the show, as they look quite large for this price point, especially the chin. Then again, Google could probably get away with it, since most people will praise its software and camera quality. The bezels aren’t that bad compared to the Pixel 7a it’s about to replace – it’s just that some of the Pixel 8a’s competitors in Europe and Asia have much smaller bezels.
Speaking of, the corners are noticeably more rounded this time around compared to its predecessor. In addition to the Obsidian color shown here, the Pixel 8a is expected to come in Porcelain (white) and Bay (blue) colors. It should be powered by Google’s Tensor G3 chipset and will have a 6.1-inch 120 Hz OLED screen, 128/256GB storage, 64 MP main camera with OIS, 13 MP ultra-wide angle, 13 MP selfie snapper, and a 4,500 mAh battery , supports 27W wired charging.
