We often advocate taking a step back a generation or two in terms of value for the next generation of Android phones, especially as the technology has plateaued in recent years. I made it myself and recently got a Galaxy S22 Plus and I love it. Today, Amazon slashed the price of the 256GB model of the Samsung Galaxy S22 phone by a record 33%, making it an even more attractive prospect.
Samsung Galaxy S22 (256GB) for only $568.20 ($282 off)
This is one of Amazon’s limited stock deals, which means there are only so many devices available to claim. When they’re gone, they’re gone. We found out about this early on, but at the time of writing, a third of the phones have already been claimed. If you arrive on time, you can buy the Phantom Black model at its lowest price ever.
Samsung Galaxy S22 (256GB)
The smallest and cheapest phone in the range
Even though it’s the entry-level phone in the Galaxy S22 series, the phone still offers plenty of power, a gorgeous screen, a great camera, and great software promise. It’s also compact enough to be easily used with one hand.
The Galaxy S22 is still an impressive device. It features a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and is paired with 8GB of RAM. For photography, it offers a versatile setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The battery capacity is 3700mAh and supports 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. It is slightly smaller than the previous generation, but it is sufficient for its size. It’s protected with Gorilla Glass Victus Plus on the front and back and has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating.
