Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is back in the gym five months after undergoing knee surgery. On Monday, Zuckerberg, who tore knee ligaments while training for mixed martial arts (MMA), shared a video of himself training his legs.

“5 months post-op. Recovery is going well and starting to regain strength. Really looking forward to getting back to training in the next few months. Thanks for all the love and support,” Zuckerberg wrote on Instagram.

The video received over a million views and countless reactions on the platform, winning people’s hearts. “Would push Elon to Mars,” one user joked. “Zach has Thoroughbred legs (pause) Glad to see you back! God is good!” another user commented.

“If this is your recovery leg press, your routine must be really heavy,” a third user reacted. “May the sun grant you health, knowledge and wisdom to make the right decisions in terms of physical health, mental health and spiritual well-being. So you always make the right decisions,” another user wrote.

Last November, Zuckerberg shared news of his knee injury on social media. In one photo, he is seen lying in a hospital bed with his left leg bandaged and wearing a leg brace.

Sharing the news, he wrote: “I tore my anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and just had surgery to replace it. Thank you to the doctors and team for taking such good care of me. I’m preparing for an MMA fight early next year Training, but a little delayed right now. Still looking forward to doing that after recovery. Thank you everyone for the love and support.”

Zuckerberg has reportedly begun training in mixed martial arts and Brazilian jiu-jitsu during the coronavirus pandemic. He completed his first game in May 2023.
