If you plan on just roaming and exploring, mostly ignoring the main story, I recommend enduring Preston until you can start building your own settlement. You don’t have to be too involved in settlement building to benefit from it. Just having a place to store weapons and power armor and rest makes the game a lot more manageable.
From that point on, your time is your own.
Main missions, side missions, or both

- War Cliffs: Railroad Mission: Follow Operation Ticonderoga and turn the Brotherhood against you.
Restore an old save: Check your perks, active quests, and inventory
Let’s say you’re not in the mood for a completely new role. Restoring a save from a few years ago can be confusing, so here are some practices to try and piece together where you are.
See what settlements you have and go back there to manage your inventory

can you really know Fallout 4 From your backlog?
Fallout 4 The scale is huge, but technically there’s a limit to the number of missions you can do, not taking into account procedurally generated “roam missions” like the constant need to defend settlements.Of course, with settlement building, you can play Fallout 4 indefinitely. If you’re on PC, mods can take you further down the rabbit hole of endless open-world games.
But if you want to find some satisfaction in traveling Fallout 4 Get rid of your backlog and consider just doing main quests. Or complete some faction quests. Set yourself a goal of reaching a specific level (there’s no level cap, but technically the game breaks when you pass level 65,535). Or just play until you’ve had enough of the game and consider it “done”.
