How to force restart iPad using Home button
Press and hold the top button and home button at the same time. When you see the Apple logo appear on the display, release both buttons.
How to force restart iPad without Home button
This one is a little more complicated. First, Press and quickly release the volume button closest to the top button. Then press and quickly release the other volume button (or the one furthest from the top button). Next, press and hold the top button. Release the top button when the Apple logo appears.
