The trailer for Todd Phillips’ musical psychological thriller Joker: Folie a Deux, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, has finally been released Plays Harley Quinn. La La Land goes dark
“La La Land” is a 2016 romantic musical directed by Damian Chazelle, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. It received multiple Oscar nominations and grossed $447 million at the global box office.
Due to some framing, the internet can’t ignore the similarities between Joker: Pas de Deux and La La Land. One shows the two protagonists ballroom dancing on a rooftop at night, with the Arkham Hotel banner in the background. One user shared a screenshot from the trailer and wrote: “You’ve heard of La La Land, now, get ready to watch Ga Ga Land.” Another user called it “Ha Ha Land”. “Joker 2 is La La Land for those who hear the sound,” a third post read.
“This movie looks like a dark and violent version of La La Land, it’s so magical, beautiful, yet disturbing, I’m just so excited,” one fan shared. Another wrote: “La La Land (2016) is dedicated to people who stop taking psychotropic drugs against medical advice.” Another wrote: “I’m going to tell my kids , this is La La Land.”

The film also received 11 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, and won Joaquin the Best Actor award. The new movie marks the only DC Comics blockbuster released in 2024.
“Joker: Pas de Deux” will be released in theaters on October 4.
