Next John Wickk Well worth the wait. Here’s Lionsgate’s message at CinemaCon 2024 as it drops all new footage john wick presents ballerinaNow in theaters in June 2025, starring Ana de Armas, Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, Lance Reddick, Gabriel Byrne Starring Norman Reedus.
at first scheduled release this June 7Lionsgate delayed the film by a full year because it found fan expectations for the movie were too high and the company wanted make it bigger and better More important than now. As a result, we are postponing plans to add more set pieces to enhance the action. Still, the action already shown in the footage shown at CinemaCon is pretty impressive in its own right, so it’s crazy to think it’ll be even bigger.
In the video, we see de Armas sitting in front of a ballet music box and recalling her childhood as a stage dancer.Anjelica Huston’s role in the previous film wick The movie is speaking to her, saying that her childhood was taken away from her and she needs to fight to get it back. This is meant literally, as it’s edited with footage of her training in mixed martial arts, firearms, and more. She also got an elaborate tattoo on her back in a room full of other trainees.
We see the character arrive at the Continental Hotel and give Lance Reddick’s character a coin. When she walks into a hotel room and picks out a collection of guns, she’s greeted by Winston, played by Ian McShane.all this happened John Wick Chapter 3 and 4.
Of course, she’s on a mission for revenge, and she’ll obviously have to fight her way through an entire town, led by Gabriel Byrne’s character. We see her talking to Norman Reedus’ character, who tells her that she has no idea what she’s walking into. Whatever it was, it required her to wield a giant flamethrower from the back of a moving pickup truck. She fires fire at vehicles, around them, and more.
Finally, a train stopped and a man got off. “You are him,” the ballerina said. “This man they call Baba Yaga. How do I start doing what you do?” A few more action sequences and we get to see Keanu Reeves as John Way gram. “Looks like you already have.”
ballerina is the biggest genre film Lionsgate has shown, but there are a few other films that look very promising.The first one is called never let godirected by Alexandre Aja (crawl), generated by 21 circles (stranger things), starring Halle Berry. This is a horror movie set in the apocalypse, telling the story of a mother who has twin sons born after the end of the world. Therefore, they can only leave the house if they have a rope tied to the house. “No ropes, just a touch,” Berry’s character says of the evil in the world. So, join us in saying: “Never let go.”
Of course, they are still kids and have normal curiosity, and they decide to go further and further on the rope. At one point, the rope broke and something attacked. One of the boys tells his mother that maybe it’s safe now, but she explains that’s why the evil wants them to think that. There are a lot of very scary images throughout, like a dozen hands wrapped around a tree, climbing up like spiders.
At the event, Berry called the film completely original and like a “dark and beautiful nightmare.” We are very interested. It will be released on September 27th.
Finally, comedian Aziz Ansari returns with a new movie he writes, directs and stars in blessing. In the film, Ansari plays a down-on-his-luck guy who works odd jobs and becomes almost an assistant to a super-rich man played by Seth Rogen. One day, Ansari’s character meets an angel named Gabriel, played by Keanu Reeves. Gabriel wanted to help the character and let him know that his life wasn’t as bad as he thought and that Logan’s life wasn’t as good as it seemed.
So, he exchanged his life for them. Trading places meet it’s a wonderful life. Ansari becomes the rich asshole and Rogen becomes the poor sidekick. Gabriel hoped this would teach Ansari that there was more to life than material possessions, except… he didn’t agree. Ansari’s character loves his new life and wants to keep it.
This created a problem among the angels, as Gabriel could not switch roles unless Ansari wanted to. As a result, he loses his wings and is forced to live a normal life. But before that happens, he gives Logan’s character his memory, and it becomes a battle of wits between the two, with Gabriel in the middle.
Ansari is still working on the film and has even more filming to do, but he seems very proud and excited about this perfect blend of comedy, pathos, and drama. There’s no release date yet, but it should be next year.
