Amazon CEO Andy Jassy says generative artificial intelligence could be one of the biggest technological changes in decades.
In his annual letter to shareholders, Jassy laid out his vision for how generative AI could become the company’s next pillar of growth, following Marketplace, Prime and its cloud computing arm, Amazon Web Services.
“Generative AI may be the biggest technological change since the cloud (which itself is still in its early stages) and perhaps the biggest technological change since the Internet,” Jassy wrote in Thursday’s letter. Jassy also said Amazon remains committed to cutting costs.
