Linear switches aside, mechanical switches are back in stores as the Hall effect has made an appearance on keyboards. The Arbiter Polar 65 features a hot-swappable 36g linear Hall effect switch from Fuji with programmable actuation depth ranging from 0.1mm to 3.8mm. As you might expect from the name, it’s a 65% keyboard with two-tone PBT keycaps and a CNC aluminum frame, with plenty of RGB on each key for you to turn on and off.
Tried TweakTown both in games and in real life and loved every minute of it. They’d like to see Arbiter include height adjustment on the Polar 65 and perhaps provide more comprehensive customization options in the app, but as far as typing goes, it’s been a pleasure to work with. The current suggested retail price is $150, and there’s even a 25% discount.
