Google announced that it will shut down Google One VPN. The company is notifying Google One users of its discontinuation via email. One of our team members also received an email in which Google didn’t specify an exact shutdown date for the Google One VPN service, but said the benefit would be phased out “later this year.”

Google launched Google One VPN as an alternative to other popular virtual private networks like Nord VPN and Express VPN. The service is available on all Google One plans, including the cheapest $1.99/month plan.

Meanwhile, Google says that if Pixel users have a Pixel 7 or newer, they can still access Google’s VPN through their Pixel settings.
Starting May 15, Google will also stop offering free shipping on some print orders in Google Photos in Canada, the UK, the US, and the EU.
