Elon Musk has long warned The dangers of artificial intelligence. However, he doesn’t seem that worried about X’s own flawed artificial intelligence chatbot, Grok, which he recently created and popularized Dangerous fake story.
Musk is reportedly so unconcerned with Grok’s issues that he’s now apparently looking to further the development of X as a whole by having the social media platform’s engineers integrate an AI chatbot into its tweet editor.
Elon Musk’s X posted fake headlines about Iran attacking Israel. X’s artificial intelligence chatbot, Grok, made it up.
According to a new report from Kelly Robinson wealthMusk hopes that Grok can be used directly in the tweet box of X Premium users, so that Grok can write tweets for these users. wealthSources say Musk “wants people to sound smarter” and he believes Grok will achieve that goal.
Grok’s problem
There are a lot of big problems with letting Grok write user posts. In fact, employee X is aware of this and according to wealth’s sources, have worked to prevent the rollout of this feature.
For one, the spam and bot problem has only gotten worse since Musk took over the platform formerly known as Twitter. Moreover, many bots and spammers are apparently powered by artificial intelligence writing tools and chatbots. If X built functionality like this directly into the platform via Grok, one can only imagine this problem would be exacerbated.
Additionally, according to the report, X engineers have been struggling to use Musk’s x.AI API, which powers Grok, because it’s too slow.
And, as mentioned earlier, throughout this issue Grok is considered just Make up stories and present them as factsand then promote it through X’s new trending topics and exploration features.
Tweet may have been deleted
Another potential problem pointed out Ed Chitlen A special feature of the Better Offline Podcast is that X’s Grok AI chatbot has been trained on user tweet data. If a user generates a post via Grok, and then Grok continues to train on Grok-generated content, it actually makes Grok worse. When AI models were trained on AI-generated content, researchers found that this led to flaws in the models.
A few months ago, Musk requested that Grok be integrated into the tweet editor for users who pay at least $8 per month for the X Premium subscription. While this hasn’t happened yet, it may eventually be implemented unless X’s engineers can convince him that this is a bad idea. So get ready for X, filled with more AI-generated spam and bots than ever before.
