Oh dear, another one game of Thrones HBO is no longer developing a spin-off series, this time focusing on Jon Snow.
With Game of Thrones being such a success, it’s no surprise that HBO would want to capitalize on this as much as possible. Unfortunately for the network, it’s only actually managed to launch one show so far, House of the Dragon, whose second season is set to air this summer. Now, in an interview with Screen Rant , Jon Snow actor Kit Harington has confirmed that a sequel series starring his character is no longer in development. “I never really talked about it because it was in development,” Harrington said.

“I don’t want it to be leaked that it’s in development, and I don’t want people to start theorizing and either be excited about it or hate the idea of it, and that may never happen. Because during development, you’re going to be looking at everything from Look at the angle and see if it’s worth it.
“Not yet. At the moment, it’s off the table because neither of us can find the right story to tell about something that we’re both excited enough about. So we’ve decided to put down the tools for it for now. Maybe at some point in the future we will Use it again, but not yet. It’s firmly on the shelf.”
This is obviously disappointing news for fans of the character, but this isn’t the first Game of Thrones show that HBO has canceled. The network even shot a pilot for another prequel series, Blood Moon, but it was ultimately canceled (even though the pilot cost $30 million to produce). There are other series in development, including an animated series, so at least Game of Thrones’ future isn’t so bleak.
