Peak Design Everyday Samsung Galaxy S24 Case Review: Overview
- what is it? The Peak Design Everyday Case is a nylon-backed, flexible polycarbonate case with tons of smart features. The highlight is its SlimLink mount, but optional Finger Loop and MagSafe support will add more value for some. Review product provided by Peak Design.
- How much? The Peak Design Everyday case retails for $49.99 in the US, and adding the Finger Loop will add $10 to that requirement.
- Where can I buy it? The Peak Design Everyday case is available at major US retailers including Amazon.
- Is it worth it? The Peak Design Everyday case was one of the first cases I considered for my new phone. It offers plenty of finesse, good protection, and attractive aesthetics. For the base Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, it’s well worth it. However, if you own a Galaxy S24 Ultra and rely heavily on the S Pen, consider skipping it.
Should you buy the Peak Design Everyday case for Samsung Galaxy S24?

I’m a big fan of the Peak Design Everyday case, no matter what phone I have in my pocket. It’s still on my iPhone 15 and Pixel 8 Pro, and now on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. This version of the Everyday case maintains the same design principles as its predecessor, with a sturdy nylon back, flexible polycarbonate frame, and tried and trusted SlimLink mounting points on the back. The branding on the case is cleverly done, with a small logo adorning the top corner.
The SlimLink mount is a key feature that continues to draw me to the Peak Design Everyday case with every new phone I buy.
The SlimLink mount is a key feature that continues to draw me to the Peak Design Everyday case with every new phone I buy. It facilitates seamless integration with Peak’s other accessories, such as car mounts and tripods.

In addition to the SlimLink support, the Everyday case offers two anchor points for attaching camera straps. As a frequent Peak Design wristband user with mirrorless cameras, I appreciate the extra security it provides for my Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, these mounting points are on the bottom edge of the case, which can complicate charging due to the smaller opening around the USB-C port. Some larger cables, such as those that come with laptops, may not fit. I also had trouble using the S Pen due to the thickness of the edges and the size of the opening.
This brings us to a big issue for Peak Design’s day-to-day case – the inclusion of MagSafe support. While this is a welcome addition to the Android brand, it creates a major problem for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The magnets on the back of the phone can interfere with the S Pen, resulting in incomplete notes and doodles, similar to using a pen that’s low on ink. Aligning one of Peak’s wallets with the back of the S24 Ultra was also challenging because it blocks one of the camera sensors.
Fortunately, this problem with the S Pen doesn’t exist with the Galaxy S24 or Galaxy S24 Plus, as they don’t support the stylus. However, when a key feature of your phone doesn’t work, it’s a major flaw. Another downside to the Everyday cases is that the Galaxy S24 series has limited color options compared to the Pixel 8 or iPhone 15. The case is only available in Charcoal and Midnight (black and blue), missing Sage, Solar, and Mahogany (green, yellow, and red).
Despite these shortcomings, the Everyday case remains a top choice for Galaxy S24 owners who want an accessory, or those who have invested in the Peak Design ecosystem. The basic Everyday case is priced at $49, while the Everyday case with finger loops for added grip is priced at $59.

What’s the best alternative to Peak Design’s everyday cases?

- Caseology Parallax Case ($17.99 at Amazon): Few phone cases can match the reliability of the Parallax, but some may find its design a bit dull. However, it is much cheaper than Peak Design.
- CYRILL UltraColor Case ($19.99 at Amazon): UltraColor arguably has a better color selection than Peak Design, but it lacks MagSafe support. It’s also very difficult to remove from the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
- dbrand Grip case ($54.9 at dbrand): dbrand’s Grip offers more protection, more adventurous design options, and MagSafe support. But you do lose SlimLink functionality.
