Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 may be released sooner than you think

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake There’s also an entry in the project in the works, and it might not take as long as you think.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake was released a full five years after it was announced, and Rebirth was released a full four years later. However, based on the latest Final Fantasy 7 Ultimania, it looks like we won’t have to wait that long for the third part, whatever it’s called. Twitter user Audrey recently translated some excerpts from Ultimania, saying that game producer Yoshinori Kitase mentioned that “Final Fantasy 7 Reborn was actually completed in three years, as it took about a year to develop the DLC, and he hopes So was being able to stick to the schedule for part three” (in Audrey’s own words).

This means that the next part will be released sometime in 2027, which is not too long a development cycle overall. Presumably Square Enix will use the same open world map again and add some additional content that hasn’t been seen in the remake yet, but we’ll of course have to wait and see. The Golden Saucer in Rebirth did tease a skiing mini-game, and the original game’s famous Claude took up the sport right after that famous, spoiler-filled Alice scene, so presumably we’ll be able to get back to it. Interestingly, creative director Tetsuya Nomura has said that he thinks they will start recording in the near future. Kitase also apparently “proposed an idea to him for a very important ‘thing’ that, although it wasn’t in the original game, Nomura was thinking about how to deliver. Kitase also noted that the team was able to make Rebirth in such a short time because “they kept the same people as the previous installment, and the third installment will have the same team as well,” which is yet another reminder of why With all the work going on, besides putting people out of work, the layoffs the industry is facing are ridiculous.
