Amazon has revealed that its new home internet service will attract hundreds of millions of people to read.
Space-based internet that relies on satellites, a bit like Elon Musk’s Starlink Enterprise product, is expected to launch in 2024.

Earlier this year, Amazon received FCC approval for its new service.
This means it can start testing up to 1,000 satellite dishes.
These prototypes have been built across the United States.
Amazon will launch satellites this year to begin testing.
The CEO of tech giant Andy Jassy just revealed more information about the plan.
He updated shareholders on the status of internet services in a recent letter.
“In October, we achieved a major milestone in our Project Kuiper commercialization journey when we launched two end-to-end prototype satellites into space and successfully demonstrated all key systems and subsystems – the first launch ever rare.
“Kuiper is our low-Earth orbit satellite program designed to bring broadband connectivity to the 400-500 million households currently without broadband connectivity (as well as governments and businesses seeking better connectivity and performance in more remote areas) and is a revenue stream for Amazon The opportunity is very good.
“We are on track to launch the first production satellite in 2024.
“We still have a long way to go, but our progress is encouraging,” Jassy told shareholders.
Space Internet is designed to test businesses and homes.
It can deliver speeds of up to 1 Gbps, which is equivalent to 1,000 megabits.
This speed is ideal for large businesses, but individual customers may accept slower speeds
The monthly cost of Amazon’s new internet service is currently unknown.
According to Cord Cutter News, Amazon hopes to be cheaper than Starlink.
