Neha’s “Crew”
Neha took to Instagram on Monday to share highlights from the IPL match she watched with friends in Mumbai on Sunday. She wrote in the caption: “My own #highlights last night! Love the game (bat and ball emoji)… love the energy… love our #crew (wink emoji),” referring to Kareena’s The latest blockbuster, Rajesh A Krishnan’s heist comedy Crew.
In the first picture, Neha can be seen in an all-white avatar, cheering for the action in the game. Sitting next to her is Karina, wearing a casual white top and smiling. Sitting behind them were Angad, in a blue denim shirt and white baseball cap, and – surprise, surprise – John Abraham in a black T-shirt. Both smiled for the camera as the female players stared at the competition. However, given Karina and John’s history, the internet can’t ignore their stardom.
What is the history like?
For those who are unfamiliar or may have forgotten, Kareena made some comments about John during the second season of her infamous talk show Coffee With Karan, which aired in 2007. Kareena appeared on the show with her then boyfriend Shahid Kapoor. claimed in one clip that John was an actor she would never want to work with. Initially shocked that Shahid dropped the name, when Kareena was asked by host Karan Johar on Rapid Fire why she didn’t want to work with John, she famously replied: “Because His face was expressionless.”
However, when John appeared on the same season of the chat show with his then girlfriend Bipasha Basu, Bipasha gave it back to Kareena. “She was a person with too many expressions,” Bipasha said. According to reports, the two actors, Kareena and Bipasha, did not get along well on the sets of Abbas Mustan’s 2001 thriller Ajnabee.
On the work front, Kareena will next be seen in Singam Again and Buckingham Murders. Meanwhile, John will appear in Weda and Tehran.
