Yes, you can call the Vault-Tec number in Amazon’s Fallout, but you might not like what you hear

There is a number from Amazon’s impact A series that can actually be called, only the person who picks up doesn’t send all the messages that are nice to hear from you.

There are minor spoilers for the Fallout show.

Whenever a phone number is clearly shown in the media, the first question should always be “What will happen when you call this number?” A lot of times it won’t yield any results because they are usually fake, but Sometimes the production company will set it up so that when you call the number, you get a funny, authentic message. For example, actually calling Saul Goodman’s phone number from Breaking Bad will result in a fake message from his office, which is interesting. Amazon’s Fallout series was released just last week, and the sixth episode features a flashback in which Walton Goggins’ character performs in a Vault-Tec commercial.

The ad is for the vault itself, and there’s a phone number you can call: 213-25-VAULT (or 213-258-2858). It turns out you can actually call the number, or at least people in the US can – there’s no guarantee it’ll work elsewhere. If you want to call it yourself first, then don’t watch the video in the tweet above, and don’t read on. For those who don’t want to risk potentially annoying hidden fees or just don’t want to be bothered, when you call the number you’ll hear the cute tone of a man screaming for a few seconds and then hanging up on you.

If you lived in the world of Fallout, this is obviously not the message you want to receive, but given the whole nuclear apocalypse, it makes sense in our world.

As expected, the “Fallout” program attracted a large number of players to return to the game, and “Fallout 76” even set a new peak number of simultaneous online users. A fan overlaid a map of the vaults from the show on Google Earth so you can see for yourself where they are located in the United States.
