If you’re eager to find the next big RPG that might blow your mind, then you should definitely mark your calendar for the upcoming Metaphor: ReFantasio development livestream. Specifically for the upcoming ATLAS game, this will be the first in-depth look at the game since its release.
You can tune in next Monday, April 22, live at 3pm PT / 6pm ET / 11pm GMT / 12am CET (April 23). It will be broadcast live on the official ATLUS YouTube channel, but the duration of the live broadcast has not yet been revealed.
Neither is specific beyond a brief one-line explanation that it will cover “the latest updates in development.” It’s worth noting that, as of this writing, Metaphor: ReFantazio has yet to be given a specific release date, other than a vague 2024 release window. So one can expect to have a final date to look forward to, or at least a target month/season.
If you haven’t seen Metaphor: ReFantazio before, you should definitely check it out for yourself. It’s a gorgeous fantasy RPG from the creators of the Persona games, so it’s got the same stylish style that fans have come to love, spread with love over what we’ve seen so far In every tidbit. Blending real-time action and turn-based combat at its core, this party-focused RPG will undoubtedly become a must-play for die-hard fans of the genre.
It will also be interesting to see how ATLAS performs on this new IP. Persona is a well-known one at this point—one that people absolutely love—so it’s interesting to see the team taking a punt on a new project. Who knows, this might be a great starting point for those who want to dive into a chunky RPG.
