Weekly Survey: Have you bought a OnePlus Nord CE4? Are you going to do this?

OnePlus Nord CE4 launches in India this week – are you buying it? Are you going to do this? Let’s talk about it. In case you missed it, check out our Nord CE4 hands-on review to get a closer look at the phone.

Powered by the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the CE4’s GPU performance is significantly improved (nearly doubled) and its CPU speed is on par with its predecessor (a slight advantage, but that’s a slight). The Qualcomm chip is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage (UFS 3.1), along with a microSD slot for more storage.

The camera uses a new main sensor (Sony LYT-600) that takes beautiful photos at 12.5MP resolution, but the high-resolution 50MP mode and 2x zoom leave something to be desired.

Battery capacity has been increased by 10% to 5,500mAh, with faster charging and 100W power (wired only). In our tests, it took 29 minutes to fully charge, and 15 minutes was enough to reach 69% charge.

OnePlus Nord CE4 is priced at Rs 25,000 for the 8/128GB model and Rs 27,000 for the 8/256GB model. From April 5, you can get instant bank discount of up to Rs 1,500 and exchange bonus of up to Rs 2,500. Let’s take a look at some similarly priced devices.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 8/128GB phone is priced at Rs 26,000. It’s powered by a weaker Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, has no microSD slot, but does have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The main camera has a larger 200MP sensor, while the 6.67-inch display is slightly sharper and more colorful. The 5,100mAh battery supports 67W charging (full charge in 44 minutes). Both phones are rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance.

The Poco X6 uses the same 7s Gen 2 chipset and the same 6.67-inch 120Hz 12-bit display as the Redmi, and also has the same IP54 rating. The 5,100mAh battery is the same with 67W charging. The 64MP main camera isn’t that impressive, though. The regular X6 is priced at Rs 23,000 and has ample RAM and storage – 12/512GB.

The Nothing Phone (2a) runs the Dimensity 7200 Pro, which is on par with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. The phone stands out with its 50MP ultrawide camera (the main one is also 50MP), but the 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ display and IP54 rating are very similar to the Nord, while the 5,000mAh battery and 45W charging are a step down. The 8/128GB 2a is priced at Rs 24,000.

The Realme 12 Pro+ is more expensive, starting at Rs 30,000 for the 8/128GB configuration. It uses the weaker Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, but its cameras stand out – a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera along with a 3x 64MP periscope. The 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ OLED display is comparable to the Nord, but the 5,000mAh battery and 67W charging are not. The IP65 rating does offer slightly better dust and water resistance, but there’s no expandable storage.
